Through my private practice both in New York City and Los Angeles, I have treated patients with a great range of communication disorders and cultural diversity. I am currently a faculty member in the Department of Communication Disorders at California State University, Los Angeles. By combining academics with private practice I am able to integrate new treatment methods into everyday evidence-based practice and maintain a high standard of excellence. I have extensive PROMPT training. In addition to working individually with children, I offer customized groups including a reading/narrative skills program, a social skills group, and a therapeutic acting class run by a trained professional actor in conjunction with a speech therapist.

I have been a privately practicing speech pathologist since 2008, with prior experience working in public schools and leading family-centered early intervention programs for children ages zero to three with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, and global developmental delays. I specialize in treating preschool-aged children with language disorders and school-aged children who stutter. My work with the St. John’s Cleft Palate team has also become an important part of my ongoing professional experience and training. I am PROMPT trained and maintain a speech-language pathology teaching credential. As a private practitioner, I have the flexibility to work closely and collaboratively with a child’s parents, school, and the professionals involved in his care, including physicians, occupational therapists, and behaviorists.
